We met Aaron Gaylord in the spring of 2017. He was one of three contractors we interviewed based upon the recommendations of a renown Columbia County architect whose work we admire. Having recently purchased a very neglected former 1902 one-room schoolhouse, we needed not only expertise but guidance and someone who could tolerate our anxieties and understand our budget.

During our initial meeting, Aaron took his time evaluating both the interior and exterior of our home. He had a Zen-like quality of self assurance and a keen listening ability. He said, “your home needs to breathe.” Aaron’s initial statement has guided many of the decisions that we have made during our renovation, that to date is ongoing.

We have worked not only closely with Aaron himself, who has always been available to us, but the fantastic team he has assembled. The best carpenters, whose craftsmanship and work ethic amaze us, plumbers, stone masons, electricians, metal workers, excavators , etc. Aaron oversees his team and has created an extremely talented and professional group of skilled, dedicated people.

Our home is cleaner when they leave than upon their arrival. They treat our home with the utmost care and respect. We have grown to consider them family, having worked with them for two years. I have 100% trust in Aaron Gaylord who has more than proved to us his reliability and incredible knowledge and ability to get the job done. We are so grateful that he has taken on our project, and just knowing that he will handle and take care of the many, many issues that come up during a renovation means more than words can express.
